Emmy Award winner Matty Kajcienski is currently one of today’s most aired network theme composers, and maintains an active career in film scoring and concert music. His robust roster of television themes include such shows as Dick Wolf’s First Responders (FOX), Good Morning America (ABC), Nightline (ABC), This Week with George Stephanopoulos (ABC), GMA “First Look”, the network theme music/branding for ABC News Live, and others past and present. Kajcienski's recent film scores include iMordecai (Judd Hirsch, Carol Kane, and Sean Aston), America’s Burning (Michael Douglas), and Wayward (Jess Weixler). Known for his colorful orchestrations, imaginative textures, and thoughtful approach to scoring, Kajcienski has successfully blended the line between contemporary concert music and television/film.

Kajcienski began his musical studies at the age of 3 on violin, and composition studies by the time he was 8. He holds both a Bachelor and Master of Music degree from the famed Juilliard School, where he studied composition and violin. While at Juilliard, Matthew began exploring creative ways to blend electronic and acoustic instruments, an orchestrational technique he has carried and developed throughout his career. His music has been performed in concert halls and venues throughout the US and abroad, including Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.

Award highlights include awards from The National Academy of Television, Arts & Sciences, Cannes, The American Academy of Arts and LettersASCAP, NFAA (National Foundation for the Advancement of the Art), The Juilliard School, and more.

Kajcienski has also composed music for many well-known advertising clients including Siemens, Coke, Bengay, American Express, Nintendo, Post, IBM, CISCO, and Kodak, to name a few.

Matthew enjoys writing and performing in Los Angeles with his wife, pianist Miori Sugiyama, his daughter Maggie, and son Felix. When not composing, he enjoys his vintage Lionel trains, his 1983 DeLorean, and landscaping/gardening.
